The Division of Labour is the long-anticipated seventh album from Naevus. Four years in the making. It is the most sharply focused Naevus record thus far, uniting the classic acoustic guitar-based sound of Naevus with slabs of post-punk, searing stabs of guitar noise, psychedelic introspection and even a glimpse of the drum machine-based sound of the earliest Naevus recordings. Asche über mein Haupt, dass Naevus bisher durch mein Radar flutschte und keine Erwähnung fand, ein Zustand, der mit "The Division of Labour", dem aktuellen Album der Briten um Lloyd James endet, welches eine mitnehmende Melange aus Neofolk, Post-Punk & Rock beschert. Nach anfänglichen Veröffentlichungen über diverse Verlage erscheinen letztere Arbeit von Naevus über Hau Ruck!, das in der österreichischen Klanggalerie einen eloquenten Partner zum Publizieren von "The Division of Labour" präsentiert, die gemeinsam das Release als CD im edlen Digipack auflegen. Alleine der gesellschafts- bzw. sozialkritischen Texte wegen lohnt sich "The Division of Labour" von Naevus. (...)
